Registered Massage Therapy

Whether you are dealing with pain from an injury, want to relax from a stressful day or take care of your overall health and wellness, we have a therapeutic massage session tailored to your needs. Below are the types of therapeutic massage available at our clinic.

Swedish Massage

This is the most common type of relaxation massage. The therapist uses lotion to rub your muscles with long or circular, slow strokes to help the entire body relax.

Swedish massage has other benefits beyond relaxation. It can help increase blood flow, flexibility, decrease stress and improve sleep.

Deep Tissue Massage

This type of massage can be beneficial for overall health, the therapist applies a more sustained pressure to get the muscles to relax and get to the deeper layer of connective tissue.

Deep tissue massages can help reduce chronic pain, decrease scar tissue, muscle tension, and improve your workouts.

Trigger Point Therapy

Often referred to as “the knots” in your muscle, these painful points can cause headaches, decrease range of motion, and even refer pain to other areas in your body.

During your Trigger Point Therapy session, your therapist will apply sustained pressure to specific trigger points, release them and in turn reduce pain, increase your movement, and improve your function.

Myofascial Release

This type of massage technique focuses on the connective tissues that wrap and connect your muscles and bones. It will target the areas that feel painful, sensitive, stiff, or stuck instead of flexible. These stiff areas can restrict muscle and joint movement and cause pain. The therapist will apply a focused pressure and stretch these areas to loosen up and realign the fascia and muscles. This will help decrease pain while increasing your movement and function.

Cupping

Cupping is a form of alternative medicine dating back to ancient Chinese and Middle Eastern cultures. It is still used today to increase your body’s natural healing reactions and in turn help with painful orthopedic conditions and overall health and wellness.

During your Cupping Massage, the skin is suctioned into special silicone cups. By lifting the tissue underneath the cup this type of massage helps promote blood flow and muscle tension; it will help you perform your sporting and daily activities more effectively and pain free.

Pre & Post-Natal Massage

They will support you and take care of you during this special time by developing a customized massage therapy treatment plan that will help promote a healthy pregnancy for Mom and baby.
