Meghan Jensen

    • Registered Physiotherapist
    • MSc. PT University of Toronto

Meghan is passionate about getting to the bottom of why someone is experiencing pain. She applies an evidence-based approach to her treatment. Meghan wants to help her clients understand what went wrong and how they can get back to the activities they love as soon as possible. She also believes in prevention and education so that her clients can prevent any future issues or injuries.

Meghan has experience working with diverse clients, in particular those with a long history of pain. She has worked in both community-based sports clinics and hospital settings. Her latest experience was working as part of an interdisciplinary pain management team.  Working with this type of complex patient population taught Meghan that to get to the root cause of someone’s pain you must keep an open and curious mind and conduct a thorough assessment.

Meghan completed a Master in Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto and is registered with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario. She previously trained and worked as a yoga teacher and registered massage therapist. She is an avid learner and is perpetually enrolled in continuing education courses to better serve her clients. She has taken advanced courses on the assessment and treatment of lower back pain through the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute and the McKenzie Institute. She has also taken several courses on non-internal approaches to treating pelvic floor issues such as incontinence and pelvic pain, hip osteoarthritis, patellofemoral pain, TMJ pain, pain neuroscience, and radicular pain.  Currently, she is taking a course on injury management for runners.

In her spare time, Meghan loves trail running with her dog, cross country skiing, tennis, yoga, and getting creative with painting and interior design.
